Micro-Biological Safety Cabinets |
The Fellair 7500 series micro-biological safety cabinets offer a range of three models designed to conform to British Standard 5726 and equivalent international standards. They provide vertical laminar flow over the working area and embody a filtered exhaust air flow. The internal air imbalance creates an air screen across the work opening, thus affording protection to the operator. Two HEPA filters are employed to arrest contaminants in both the recirculated and exhaust air flows. Each of these HEPA filters are subjected to a DI-OCTYL PTHALATE TEST. Filtered air is discharged 70% to recirculation and 30% to exhaust. The air flow may be regulated by re-setting the variable speed centrifugal fan. For added safety, the work chamber is surrounded by a negatively pressurised plenum. In the event of a gasket or seal failure, contamination will be prevented from entering the chamber. In addition, the control circuit monitors the fan operation and in the event of a primary fan fault, operation will continue to maintain a safe condition in the chamber. |
